The History of U.A.E

The U.A.E is known as the United Arab Emirates. It was established in 1971 formed from a group of tribal sheikhdoms which is a territory ruled by an Islamic religious leader. They gained independence and formed their government when their treaty with Britain ended. Most of U.A.E’s citizens are Kuwait and Qatar. The language most of them speak is Arabic they also pray Arabic the reason they speak in Arabic is because Islam influenced them to. The U.A.E and other countries in the Arabian Peninsula gained independence slowly mostly from the British.
In 1820 the local rulers and the British have signed a combat privacy treaty on the Gulf coast. The agreements they had have made the Gulf coast become the Trucial coast. The deal between trucial states and Britain gave Britain the control over foreign affairs and the emirates control over internal affairs and that all happened in 1892. In 1948 sheikh saqr Bin-Muhammad al-Qasimi became the ruler of Ras al-Khayamah. Oil was discovered in the 1950s and later on they traded that oil with other countries and got everything they have. Bahrain and Qatar join the Trucial states and the differences make the union crumble in 1971 as independence looms. After gaining independence slowly from Britain the U.A.E formed when Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah, and Umm al- Qaywayn came together and called themselves the United Arab Emirates.

The United Arab Emirates’ history is connected in trade with Islam. It came to the region in AD 630. The location is somewhere in between Europe, merchants from India were attracted to the far east, merchants from china did the same. They were prized by the Europeans. The wealthy industries got better through the 19th to the early 20th centuries, they gave employments to people in the Gulf.  Lots of people living there were semi-nomadic which means they travel around places mostly migrating every season but they have a base camp where they plant crops for survival. In the early part of 1968 the British say they plan to back out and leave the Arabian Gulf, then Sheikh Rashid and Sheikh Zayed summoned the seven emirates and also the Qatar and the Bahrain.
